WHO WE ARE
The Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington (VABAW) strives to provide mutual support for attorneys in the advancement of their careers, be a trusted guide and source of support for students who aspire toward the legal profession, and represent the Vietnamese American legal community within the Washington State Bar.
The Vietnamese-American Bar Association of Washington (VABAW) condemns the distressing increase over the past year in hate-based attacks against Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI). Violence toward our communities is nothing new. In April 2020, VABAW denounced the use of racial language to describe the Coronavirus and racist attacks on Asian Americans. Today, we are renewing our condemnation of the attacks against the AAPI community.

HỒNG ĐỨC CLERKSHIP
An innovative clerkship opportunity that gives students the unique experience of learning the local cultures and customs while living in Vietnam and working at a major law firm.
On March 5, 2020, VABAW wrote to Governor Inslee expressing strong support for the passage of HB 2567 concerning open courts. As community leaders and advocates, we stand for equal access to an impartial legal system that is free from fear and worry due to one’s immigration status.
We are pleased to share that the bill has passed both the House and Senate and is currently awaiting signature with the Governor. We are honored to have been invited by Representative My-Linh Thai to voice our position with our state leaders.
We are VABAW.
The Vietnamese-American Bar Association of Washington.
