VABAW Bar Exam Fee Scholarships

To apply for either of these VABAW scholarships, please follow the instructions below and submit separate requests if you wish to apply for both scholarships:

BAR EXAM PREP SCHOLARSHIP:

  • Up to $3,000 per scholarship

  • Two (2) Scholarships available

The “Bar Exam Prep” Scholarship provides reimbursement for law students graduating no earlier than Summer 2023 for up to $3,000 for bar exam preparation courses and books paid to Barbri, Princeton Review, or a similar nationally-recognized program or equivalent (accepted or rejected by VABAW at its own discretion) in preparation for taking the Washington State Bar Exam (fees working towards the LPO (Limited Practice Officer) Exam and admission are not eligible at this time).

To apply for this scholarship, send an email to vabawpresident@gmail.com and include the following:

  • Your name, email, and law school name and graduation date

  • Receipts for all costs incurred will be required upon

  • Personal statement of no more than 500 words describing why you should be selected as a VABAW 2023 Bar Exam Prep Scholarship recipient.

  • Scholarship recipients must provide receipts (and any other comparable proof requested by VABAW at its sole discretion) for all costs reimbursed under this scholarship.

BAR EXAM Registration SCHOLARSHIP:

  • Up to $1,000 per scholarship

  • Two (2) Scholarships available

The “Bar Exam Registration” Scholarship provides reimbursement for law students graduating no earlier than Summer 2023 for up to $1,000 for bar exam registration and other licensing fees paid to the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) or the Washington State Bar Association in preparation for taking the Washington State Bar Exam and for being licensed as a Washington State attorney, including registration fees for taking the UBE (Uniform Bar Exam) and MPRE (Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam), and/or completion of the NCBE Character and Fitness Investigation (fees working towards the LPO (Limited Practice Officer) Exam and admission are not eligible at this time).
